Our Permanent Roadtrip to Athens!

Weddings and Galas and Tailgates oh my! Athens is a town that really knows how to party, and we were just plain jealous that we haven’t been a part of that. So Lacy (UGA Grad and Athens bred), Jesse (avid Bulldawg fan and Athens area local), and myself (music-junkie and The Grit devotee) hopped in the car and spent a couple days figuring out if Athens wanted us to party. And the answer? YES. We toured venues, ate lunches with socialites and party-throwers alike, and even met with local farmers about using their sustainable, and therefore wickedly delicious, food. After meeting such great people, joining the Athens community was an easy decision. We saw a need for our fresh and creative approach to catering, so of course it seemed only natural to expand to a city that feels like home to many of us. And, after already hosting a luncheon for the board at St. Mary’s, and our first Athens wedding at the Tate Center this coming January, we needed an official place to call home. It took about 1.2 seconds when we walked into the space at the Leathers Building on Pulaski St to know that this was the “home” that was going to represent us the best. Exposed brick, plenty of entertaining space, an office loft upstairs, and walking distance to The Grit. What else could we ask for? Even the delicious apple-red walls were an exact match to our business cards. This trendy space not only provides a place to meet with clients, it also moonlights as venue space for private cocktail parties, board meetings, and even private tailgating for Georgia Bulldog fans. Plus, we have plans to host wine tastings and cooking classes later this fall.
